@lisareidmitchell The first thing I would do is hang a curtain in front of your washer & dryer. The curtain should be green to counter the water element of the washer. When you walk in your front door you want to be greeted not with the prospect of more work but with the ability to relax and the rest of the house should inspire you to do/be more! – Lynn

@asratoday, A south facing door can bring in business all day but if you only serve lunch and dinner then West is preferred but not at all required. If you serve breakfast and lunch then an East facing door would support the morning rush. North is not recommended at all.
@LynnGoldstone
Is there a more beneficial direction to have the door facing for a food business?

This presentation very simply explains the history and concepts of Feng Shui. I especially liked the list of things that Feng Shui is not commonly known for, moving from the personal to the community. The narrator gently leads the listener along an easy to follow path, where one comment flows sensibly into the next. Well done!!
Dear Lynn
I was wondering to know if I have to use the ba gua map for each room or for the whole house. I am very confuse about this. Some ask for the plan floor of the house and what about if I do not have one. Please answer my questions. Thanks

Good explanation about feng shui.
Being dyslexic I have found the easiest book for me to understand and use is Lillian Too’s Easy-to-Use Feng Shui: 168 Ways to Success. It made it very easy for me. Lillian Too practices compass Feng Shui. The true Feng Shui. American Black Cat which is always based on the door you use and walk in does not change. It is not based on the person or the direction of the house. It is easy but to me not right. Do not just enhance one area this could be bad. Feng Shui is about Harmony and balance!
Do you have to feng shui your computer. If you are getting rid of clutter in your home maybe you should get rid of some stuff on your pc. When I think about all of the spam and unread emails I can feel my heart sinking slightly. This is negative chi surely.
Great video thank you! A concise high level introduction.
Strictly speaking, you can only be of one element. So in chinese your day is called “li chun” So its considered the snake element As Chinese new year is the first day of the lunar calender year of the snake. You are a Heaven pillar earth, Earth pillar snake(Fire) Based on the four pillars of destiny.
i lost my sister 2 yrs ago, and i ve been having a lot of difficulties dealing with her death. miss her a lot she was 51 , i was 48.. both my parents are dead, and i ve got a selfish older sister… i am married with 2 kids… but i do miss a lot my sis.. i cry every day
Excuse me, I’m really new to this.. But do you know any good books that I can buy about Feng Shui so that I can practice it more often? Because as of now I’m experiencing some bad manifestations from my thoughts which are very unhealthy and I tend to be stressed-out by a lot of things.. like financially, personally, etc.. Thank You! Dear Mia. The Chinese New Year is celebrated on the second new moon following the winter solstice and will fall between January 21 and February 19 on the Gregorian calender. After a little research, the Chinese New Year did occur on February, 5 1989. Because your birthday falls right on the New Year you are both Dragon and Snake not one or the other.
Warm Regards – Lynn

So many people say feng shui is a pile of crap but I think there is a bit of truth in it’s core. Everything should have its own place, there is space for everything, get rid of clutter and keep everything tidy and clean.
You’re right, everyone does already know to fix drips, change burnt bulbs and tighten knobs. The thing is, most folks don’t get up off the sofa and do it! They wait months before getting around to their Handy Andy list. I’m just pointing out how it affects you from a Feng Shui perspective.
Thanks
MUY BUENO!!!
Me gusto
While I don’t think these tips will actually make you happier, I think that it’s a fun way of thinking about things and to help you get things done you’ve been neglecting
These are like, things everybody knows anyway. Change your lightbulbs? Don’t let your plants die? Clean your mirrors?
How about just having one tip: Don’t be a slob.
wow she’s fun! some things to do in my house.
Hey, Elizabeth, I just saw your blog. Really cool.
I like your webseries too. Keep up the good work!
boobs ( . )( . )
This is excellent information; even if we just love Elizabeth, who needs to have a TV show ASAP! Hello Green channel? or IF you don’t go for the spiritual aspect of it all these things just make sense in terms of maintenance, hygiene and well being. In other words Chi!
that are all psychological tipps, its not bout the energy that comes from the instruments cause they all just have the same energy but the point is humans are channels that dont just let the energy flow thru them but put it into different directions… thats cause were living and thinking entities thru the fact that were alive we have control bout all that shit….feng shui, meditation ,the kabbalah, and all other mystic methaphysic and religious stuff is just self hypnosis not philosophy.^_^
thats true we just can gain^^
i am not a firm beliver in the art of fen shui, the reason i watched this clip is because of Elizabeth, i think she is absolutely gorgeous, every word that comes out of her mouth, releases a positive energy and vitality.
Thank you for your help in Feng Shui.
Actually feng shui means air and water when directly translated.
Feng Shui literally means ‘wind’ and ‘water’.

I believe Fung Shui actually means spirits but I’m not 100% sure.
I mean sure having a nice looking house is good, but thinking that having a dead plant in your house is going to ruin your life, I mean please are you three years old?
